The Accounting Department works toward a Kaizen mentality. What is Kaizen? Kaizen is the Sino-Japanese word for “improvement.” In a business environment, Kaizen is a strategy where employees at all levels of a company work together proactively to achieve regular, incremental improvements to any process. In a sense, it combines the collective talents within a company to create a powerful engine for improvement. Our Accounting staff is an excellent team that will continue to work towards eliminating waste, strive for continuous improvement and synergy amongst existing processes.
Friendly reminder, payday is every other Wednesday. Some banks may show your payroll pending early, but please do not call the home office on Tuesday asking for information about your paycheck. Paystubs are available on the Greenshades self-service portal and instructions are here to help newly onboarded employees. Please visit http://burgerbusters.com. In the top right corner there is a link called “Employee Portal” for more information. Having trouble logging into your account? We recommend using the access without an account option.
One of the biggest initiatives for the Accounting Department this year is to get the selected forecasting system, Vena, up and running. Vena is an excel based add on tool that allows for projections input, improved reporting, live data from the Accounting software, audit trail history, and security on visibility. We are looking forward to these benefits and are excited to roll this software out to the field.
The Accounting Department would like to introduce our two newest additions, Abram Boyer and Kim Lucas. Abram, a current employee, is transitioning into the cash department and comes to us with a Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University. Abram is a lively Steelers fan and has three children that keep him busy on the weekends. Kim Lucas has rejoined our Accounting team and will be helping with the additional companies and special projects. She also has three children and enjoys spending time at the beach.
