The Accounting Department has been continuing to evolve and we are excited to announce the rollout of our new Expense Track software. Expense Track will simplify the process of submitting credit card receipts and approving credit card transactions. The software will allow for online expense report management; eliminating the need to keep records of paper receipts, simplify report submission, and automate policy reinforcement. A big thank you to those of you who have embraced the change and are already using the program! Should you need assistance with Expense Track, please reach out to Lesley Smith at the home office.
Friendly reminder, W-2 season is coming up and will be sent to the address on file as of 12/31/19. We are asking ALL employees to set up their Greenshades account now to confirm their address and avoid W-2s being mailed to the wrong place. There is also an option to only receive an electronic W-2 which will be available much earlier than the paper version. If an address needs to be updated, this must be done via the Greenshades portal: bbus.greenemployee.com.
Accounting had the opportunity to send two team members to the annual Great Plains User Group Conference in Orlando, FL which is a Microsoft convention that let our team learn how to maximize our capabilities within our current accounting platform. Lanisha, from our payroll team, was asked to speak at the convention on our current processes and implementation experience. Users were very impressed with our speed of processing 4,000 employees and ability to produce custom reports.
Lastly, the Accounting Department is excited to introduce our newest team member, Tim Phillips. Tim has recently moved to the area, comes to us from Alabama, and is a proud University of Alabama alumnus (Roll Tide). Tim also has his CPA license and will be working primarily on the company audits and period-end closes.
