Hello again from the POS World! We in the POS Department would like to thank everyone for their continued work in the stores and making BurgerBusters a successful business. This year we have seen the continued issues of our supply chains being slow to respond, but we are trying to stay ahead of it as much as possible. For the most part with our existing POS technology we have a good amount of stock to keep you up and running. As tech ages we are seeing more issues, but we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thankfully we have received some good news. Taco Bell announced the Annspire Next-Gen software and have started implementing it in all stores over the air (OTA) that have compatible registers. Those are the PAR 8300’s and PAR 600’s. Corporate is hoping to have all of these stores completed by the end of the year, but may extend into the first quarter of next year. For all other stores, YUM has finally decided on the new registers everyone else will be getting beginning in January 2024! Corporate is hoping to have all these installed by April of next year. Any stores that are getting a successor remodel will get them before they reopen. Unit No. 20073 (Maugans Ave.), Unit No. 16062 (Culpeper), Unit No. 15359 (Great Neck), and Unit N0. 5142 (Broad and Gaskins) will get them this year. You will be seeing other technology coming to the stores as well. TKDS has been installed in all our stores. Internal DMB’s and outside DMB’s are continuing to be an issue with the supply chain, but are continuing with installs. Prep printers and line printers will be getting installed and tested in our stores this year. The HP 5810 computer towers will be going obsolete next year so we will be upgrading 54 stores that have those as well. We continue to see new innovation in today’s technology and I am happy to see you all being able to take advantage of it as well. Please continue to call us if you are having any technology issues, that includes issues that SOS Taco is not resolving or if you have repeat issues that were supposedly fixed by them. Amber and I will not be able to help you unless you call us and let us know. We do not want POS to be the reason you get frustrated in the store. Thank you again!
