In every newsletter we like to introduce an employee from the Corporate Office. In this issue we would like to introduce two employees, Natalie Frye and Melissa Luna.
Natalie Frye, an esteemed member of our Accounting Department, holds the position of Accounts Payable Specialist. She joined the BurgerBusters family in April 2000 and has worked for BurgerBusters for almost 24 years. Natalie’s diverse responsibilities encompass authorizing Work Orders in Corrigo for payment, approving invoices, addressing exceptions in the IQBO program, processing weekly vendor payments, handling queries related to AP vendors, and reviewing all Corpay Comdata credit card receipts for our District Managers.
Natalie takes great pride in being a member of the Accounting Team, finding joy in her work and cherishing the collaborative environment. Her fondest experience at BurgerBusters has been witnessing the company’s remarkable growth over the past 20 years.
Originally from Laurel, Maryland, Natalie moved to Virginia in the late ’70s and has called Virginia Beach home for over four decades. She is a graduate of Kempsville High School and Tidewater Tech Vocational School in Chesapeake, VA. Natalie has one son, Timmy, who is currently working as a local bartender at Seas Side Bar & Grill on the Oceanfront. Natalie herself is an avid football enthusiast, with a particular passion for college football. She is a devoted fan of the Notre Dame college team and the Washington Commanders in the NFL.

Melissa Luna serves as the Accounts Payable Manager for BurgerBusters, having joined the company in November 2019. In her role, Melissa ensures the efficient processing of invoices, timely vendor payments, and actively seeks opportunities to safeguard the company’s financial interests. She meticulously reconciles vendor accounts to maintain strong relationships and remains vigilant against potential fraud. Additionally, Melissa calculates and remits various taxes, including Sales, Meals & Use taxes, Personal Property, and Real Estate taxes, directly impacting the restaurants.
What Melissa appreciates most about working at BurgerBusters is the abundance of opportunities for continuous learning and skill improvement within her team.
Hailing from a military family, Melissa spent her upbringing across the US and Europe, with most of her family currently residing in Texas. Valuing time as life’s most precious commodity, she finds joy in investing it with loved ones and engaging in activities that bring fulfillment, such as traveling, learning, listening to music, and creating. Melissa’s creative passions include photography and weaving, and she recently cherished the opportunity to visit her family in Texas for the wedding of one of her younger brothers.
