Any leading brand must evolve and look for innovative ways to improve its customer and employee experience and Taco Bell has always excelled in doing so. Below I have outlined several recently introduced or upcoming brand mandates and innovations that improve the day-to-day store operations as well as enhance our customers’ experience at our restaurants.

For those that may not be aware, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you the new BurgerBusters. In December of last year, BurgerBusters sold its Roanoke, Charlottesville, and Harrisonburg, Virginia stores along with all of its North Carolina stores to Charter Foods. This geographical adjustment has allowed us to continue operating in a more narrowly focused area as a lean and mean 80-unit system. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of their years of service that has led to […]

OPERATIONS – OPERATIONS METRIC 2022

2022-07-08T20:21:35+00:00July 8th, 2022|Latest News|

Very little has changed in 2022 as it pertains to the operations metrics and brand standards, which is great news for the Operators! Daily communication to all team members as to why the standards exist is vital as it will drive each store to achieve or exceed each brand standard. A store that achieves the brand standard historically has a larger sales growth than stores that fall below the goals. It sounds so simple, a well trained and communicated staff will outperform the standards. BurgerBusters has recognized the difficulties over […]

2022-07-08T20:18:47+00:00July 8th, 2022|Latest News|

The headline is appropriate as we head into our annual busy season. At the beginning of every year, the Accounting team is tasked with issuing W-2s to employees, 1099s to vendors, and closing the books for the year. After this is complete, the team then goes through an external audit that helps ensure internal controls and proper financial reporting. Additionally, this year the Accounting Department has been working to respond to the impact of selling 75 stores.

For this newsletter, the Accounting team came up with a list of friendly […]

2022 will be no different than 2021 for the Human Resources Department. We are held to a standard unlike no other business because our employees need to be paid correctly and timely. With that in mind, there are several issues that cause repeated problems getting people compensated correctly. I have three wonderful Human Resource employees that really care about BurgerBusters and BurgerBusters’ employees and provided below are their concerns.

From Emerald Chandler: Managers and District Managers are not submitting the proper status change forms or background check approvals before placing […]

Your top performer, a team member or manager quits out of the blue, and you are at a loss. What went wrong? Did I do something wrong? Will the rest of the team follow? How will this impact them and the restaurant?

As the leader you already know you will need to lean on your remaining team members and managers to take on more responsibility while you search for the replacement of the manager or team member. That is a big ask, especially of your team who is already stretched […]
