Hello again from the POS world! First, I would like to thank all the store personnel for everything you do for BurgerBusters. If it were not for you none of us would have a job. Secondly, I would like to thank Thaddeus and Amber for their continued support and due diligence in all aspects of our job in the POS Department. If it were not for them, we would not be as successful in this Department as we are. Amber will be moving back to Virginia so you will […]

BurgerBusters enters the New Year different than it has ever looked before, which comes with great benefits, but still with new challenges facing our business as well. After the sale of about half of the restaurant operations, the company now has a more compact look with many advantages that come with it. Facilities and Loss Control will be able to able to focus more acutely on not just evaluating and remediating new problems, but also be able to spend more time researching trends and problem areas to proactively solve […]

In every newsletter we like to introduce an employee from the Corporate Office. In this issue we would like to introduce two employees, Beth Nance and Tammy Craiger.

Beth Nance has been with BurgerBusters since August of 2021.  She was born in Florida to a Navy family. Her father was a Naval Pilot and so they moved around the country quite a bit. They had lived in Japan and Hawaii and when Beth was six years old her family settled in Virginia Beach. Beth left Virginia Beach briefly to attend Longwood University […]

2021-07-27T19:05:26+00:00July 27th, 2021|Latest News|

It has been nearly a year and half since everyone’s world was turned upside down, the toll endured by businesses has been significant. Words cannot express how proud I am of the entire BurgerBusters organization for the fortitude and diligence that was put on a display every day during this trying time. It was truly inspirational to see all of our talented people at work, weathering the ever-changing challenges that the business world and the world at large endured. While other businesses shut down all or large portions of […]

BurgerBusters greatest assets are their employees. The company has been able to navigate over the past year due to the amazing strength of our people. The challenges of COVID and the national employee shortages have certainly taxed the system, yet our people continue to lead, shine, and rise to exceed and overcome the challenges. The company’s ability to develop from within has allowed us to handle the ongoing threats to the business. The three by three development process is the foundation that allows all of the managers to be reviewed, assessed, […]

MARKETING

2021-07-27T18:11:33+00:00July 27th, 2021|Latest News|

This has been a unique year to say the least from pretty much every perspective imaginable. Why should marketing be any different? I would like to commend everyone on adapting to the new longer marketing experiences. While having advertised items remain around longer may seem simpler on the surface, the reality is that we have had more items featured than in previous marketing windows. Also, having a series of changes come into play mid-experience takes diligence and attention to detail to manage […]

DEVELOPMENT

2021-07-27T18:11:50+00:00July 27th, 2021|Latest News|

As you may have noticed, I do not normally contribute to this section of the newsletter. In addition to my marketing and legal duties, I have been heavily involved with development for many years. This past month I was asked to oversee the Development Department and I happily accepted the opportunity. I would like to especially thank Joe Williams for all his hard work in keeping all our projects moving forward, as well as everyone in Operations that assisted me as I have transitioned into this new role. I […]

STAFFING – CULTURE BUILDING AND STAFFING BEHAVIORS

2021-07-27T17:48:07+00:00July 27th, 2021|Latest News|

Best Staffing Practices

  • Check TalentReef daily especially on weekends. Application flow tends to increase on Saturday and Sundays.
  • Staffed restaurants help other restaurants in the area with staffing needs.
  • Making phone calls does not work. Text or email applicants as they will usually follow up and respond.
  • Review all applications. Do not discriminate against the RED potential candidates.
  • Keep an open mind when interviewing candidates.
  • Interview candidates right away before another company gets a chance to reach out to the potential candidate.
  • Make sure you and your teams are […]
