I am always proud to be a part of a company that continues to push forward, never stagnating. As we continue to develop more stores, we continue to see more new managers and employees operating restaurants without our company’s high standards and expectations being compromised. This pursuit of excellence manifests itself most clearly in the execution of our marketing programs. Every five weeks, you are forced to learn (or relearn for a    returning promotion) several new items and processes, master them, […]

FACILITIES & LOSS CONTROL – MORE UPGRADES, MORE MANDATES, & MORE SAFETY

2019-11-15T16:22:36+00:00November 11th, 2019|Latest News|

What a year so far! As always, BurgerBusters continues to grow not only in store count, but also progressively evolve their assets and company processes.

In June, BurgerBusters completed their Taco Bell mandate requiring all Frutista Freeze machines to contain a High Overrun Kit. This Kit improves equipment functionality and reduces the amount of syrup used in each beverage, leading to an average annual cost savings of $1,000 per store. As a result of the mandate, 57 stores received brand new Frutista machines with an additional 61 having theirs retrofitted. […]

OPERATIONS – FINDING THE BEST CASHIERS IN BURGERSBUSTERS

2019-11-14T20:12:15+00:00May 14th, 2019|Latest News|

Cashiers drive the overall guest perception. The guest surveys tell us that three areas drive a poor guest experience.

The guest becomes dissatisfied when we fall short in three areas:
Speed, Accuracy, and Friendliness.

The Company has improved speed in one year by over thirty seconds, thank you!

The challenge before us is overall improvement in accuracy (triple check) and friendliness. I will challenge all of us in operations to better support the cashiers in driving friendliness and helping take care of each guest. Yes, […]

FINANCIAL NEWS – KAIZEN

2019-11-14T17:59:34+00:00May 14th, 2019|Latest News|

The Accounting Department works toward a Kaizen mentality. What is Kaizen? Kaizen is the Sino-Japanese word for “improvement.” In a business environment, Kaizen is a strategy where employees at all levels of a company work together proactively to achieve regular, incremental improvements to any process. In a sense, it combines the collective talents within a company to create a powerful engine for improvement. Our Accounting staff is an excellent team that will continue to work towards eliminating waste, strive for continuous improvement and synergy amongst existing processes.

Friendly reminder, payday […]

HUMAN RESOURCES – MEAL ABUSE

2019-11-14T17:55:17+00:00May 14th, 2019|Latest News|

Employees must understand that “gifting” friends and family members meals is considered theft. BurgerBusters’ Employee Meal Policy No. 1003 states, “Employee meals are intended for the employee only and cannot be used to purchase food for friends or family members.”  Unfortunately, not all employees are complying with our policy.

We found meal theft in 13 of the first 17 audits which equates to 76% of stores with discovered meal theft. Meal theft averaged $6.38 per store per day. If every store had just $6.38 in unauthorized meal discounts / food […]
