DEVELOPMENT

The Development Department continues to stay busy with a variety of different projects. Since the last newsletter, we have built new stores in Strasburg, VA (Unit No. 40309) and Portsmouth, VA (Unit No. 40297); completed several Taco Bell successor remodels in Midlothian, VA (Unit No. 4841), Newport News, VA (Unit No. 33515), Hampton, VA (Unit No. 33519), Glen Allen, VA (Unit No. 15854), Hagerstown, MD (Unit No. 20073); a Taco Bell / KFC successor remodel in King George, VA (Unit No. 20974); a midterm remodel in Petersburg, VA (Unit No. 25404), and added on a cooler in Richmond, VA (Unit No. 18147).

We currently have two stores under construction (Haymarket, VA and Stafford, VA), with a few set to break ground later this year. We also have three major remodels under construction in Virginia Beach, VA (Unit No. 15359), Culpeper, VA (Unit No. 16062), and Richmond, VA (Unit No. 5142) and one midterm remodel in Newport News, VA (Unit No. 33520). Over the course of the year, we have another six successor remodels and three midterm remodels scheduled. I would like to thank Joe Williams, Senior Construction Manager, for helping to oversee these projects; a truly herculean task. I would also like to thank our eyes in the field, the Operations Department, for working hand-in-hand with us to make sure these projects get over the finish line.
