In every newsletter we like to introduce an employee from the Corporate Office. In this issue we would like to introduce two employees, Jennifer Korbely and Pepper Seaver.

Jennifer Korbely is the Controller for BurgerBusters Inc. and lives in Virginia Beach, VA with her two dogs. She joined the company in January of 2017 after working for 6 years in corporate accounting.

Her responsibilities involve leading a team in full cycle accounting functions including in-house payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, cash, forecasting, and analysis. During her tenure, she has executed improvements and development for her team, which has enabled her to keep the same headcount in her department despite significant sales and location growth. These initiatives with her team have been her favorite part about working at BurgerBusters Inc.

Jennifer graduated from Penn State in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and received her CPA license in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys cheering for the Steelers, archery, and running. Her steady motto has been “continuous improvement,” and she hopes to convey this through her career, community, and personal life.

Pepper came to BurgerBusters Inc. in June 2021 as a Staff Accountant.  She enjoys sales data analysis, closing monthly General Ledgers, and is involved with the review of Rental Income and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) management.

Pepper is glad to be back in Virginia Beach after living out in Knoxville, TN, home of the UT Volunteer football team – GO VOLS! She believes the weather here is much more agreeable near the ocean than up in the mountains, although Dollywood is always fun to visit. She has two married daughters living in Atlanta, GA and both are raising her adorable grandsons there.  Pepper loves to visit Hotlanta, but she said it cannot beat the serenity of surf and sand here in Virginia Beach.

BurgerBusters has been a great transition for Pepper. She came from a large corporate Accounting Department, where you are just a number and BurgerBusters is a more personable experience for her while still getting satisfaction from setting and meeting goals. The best part of working at BurgerBusters has been the ability to see the vision of the leadership. The leaders actively set the pace while genuinely sharing their humor styles and encouragement. Pepper may be one of the newbies, but she feels well received, enjoys the BurgerBusters’ work ethic with a good mix of work / home balance, and finds after hours time to enjoy live streaming series provided on Netflix.
