Every year I congratulate you all on navigating the everchanging world of Taco Bell and every year you continue to impress with your ability to adapt whatever the brand and BurgerBusters throw your way. Adding additional promotional items halfway through a marketing experience, no problem. Bring back Nacho Fries and Mexican Pizza, no problem. Take them away and then bring them back again, still no problem. No matter the layers of complexity thrown your way, execution and consistency have remained at high levels throughout the company. This is not an easy task and each of you should be commended for it.

Going forward, we have an exciting pipeline of items. In E2, we will see the return of the Crispy Melt Taco, along with three new deals to excite our customers, the Cravings Trios. Each Cravings Trio will come with a Doritos Locos Taco and a Medium drink, along with a choice of a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Crunchwrap Supreme, or Burrito Supreme. Following that up in E3 will be the return of the popular Grilled Cheese Burrito. As the year continues, we will also see the return of Nacho Fries and, likely, new variations on the Nacho Fries, like Steak Chile Verde Fries and Grilled Cheese Fries.

Another exciting bit of information I would like to share is that I was lucky enough to visit the Taco Bell Test Kitchen recently and though the items are likely to change, I tasted several delicious items that could be coming our way soon. While I can’t get into too many details, I will say that there was an emphasis on trying to bring some spice to our menu, utilizing in-house sauces and ingredients (a Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza for example), as well as integrating hot new sauces, like Yellowbird. There is also talk of bringing back Taco Bell fan voting to decide on new items to bring

back to the menu, at least temporarily. Several items, like the Volcano Menu and Carmel Apple Empanadas, among others, were mentioned. Pay attention to this space and your monthly marketing communications for more updates on these and other promotions.

If you have any questions or concerns about any marketing experience or promotion, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Marketing Department.

Thank you again for all you do.
