Thank you all in the field and in Virginia Beach who made the explosive and record setting growth at BurgerBusters possible!

Development at BurgerBusters continues to grow in leaps and bounds. We are so proud to announce that since the last newsletter we have opened four new restaurants (Unit No. 33518, Hampton, VA; Unit No. 33183, Orange, VA; Unit No. 35065,  Richmond, VA; and Unit No. 35254, Virginia Beach, VA).  We have also completed two Steak ‘n Shake conversions to brand new Taco Bells (Unit No. 32378, Waynesboro, VA and Unit No. 35885, Lynchburg, VA).

Development has also finished three more major successor remodels (Unit No. 17199,Waynesboro VA; Unit No. 19749 Ruckersville, VA; and Unit No. 34842, Troutville, VA).  Finally, we added a beautiful and functional new exterior cooler / freezer and expanded dry storage at Unit No. 1243 in High Point, NC.

This April, we started on our new 2019 projects.  Our first new restaurant is the long-awaited Lee’s Chapel Taco Bell (Unit No. 33184 in Greensboro, NC).  Followed soon by Front Royal II (Taco Bell Unit No. 35063).  In addition to all of that exciting news, we are getting ready to start three more Virginia Steak ‘n Shake conversions very shortly in Hampton, Fredericksburg, and Colonial Heights.

Our 2019 remodels start with Unit No. 15572 in Williamsburg, VA and Unit No. 1879 in Fredericksburg, VA starting in May.  In total, 2019 will have six major remodels and some major projects including Unit No. 15359 in Virginia Beach, VA.

We will also be adding additional cooler and freezer walk-ins to five restaurants in 2019 starting in May (Unit No. 2066, Burlington, NC; Unit No. 5288, Harrisonburg, VA; Unit No. 4714, Staunton, VA; Unit No. 5142, Richmond, VA; and Unit No. 33517, Hampton, VA). Very, very soon, we are also expanding the dining room at Unit No. 33522 in Fredericksburg, VA and adding seating to the very busy Hopewell, VA restaurant (Unit No. 3850).

I am very happy to announce a new addition to our already talented Development Team.  Josh Plummer is our Construction Manager focusing on remodels.  He brings a tremendous amount of operations experience to help round out our team.

Josh joined BurgerBusters in April 2010 to oversee Steak ‘n Shake.  He has excellent restaurant experience including 10 years with KFC and another 11 years with Taco Bell Corporate.  He enjoys basketball, music, people, and shooting 3 pointers at Busch Gardens.
