OPERATIONS – FINDING THE BEST CASHIERS IN BURGERSBUSTERS
Cashiers drive the overall guest perception. The guest surveys tell us that three areas drive a poor guest experience. The guest becomes dissatisfied when we fall short in three areas: Speed, Accuracy, and Friendliness. The Company has improved speed in one year by over thirty seconds, thank you! The challenge before us is overall improvement in accuracy (triple check) and friendliness. I will challenge all of us in operations to better support the cashiers in [...]
FINANCIAL NEWS – KAIZEN
The Accounting Department works toward a Kaizen mentality. What is Kaizen? Kaizen is the Sino-Japanese word for “improvement.” In a business environment, Kaizen is a strategy where employees at all levels of a company work together proactively to achieve regular, incremental improvements to any process. BurgerBusters Inc.’s most valuable assets are the talent and resources of our workforce, but attracting and retaining top talent is difficult. At our recent RGM conference, we discussed the many things we will have to do well to avoid the hiring roadblocks that comes with today’s record low unemployment, increased employee turnover, and cut throat competition. It takes strategic thought and planning to recruit and retain employees and show the community that we are an [...]
POINT-OF-SALES – EVOLUTION OF TECHNOLOGY
In 1957 my family got our first television. To a seven year old, it was like opening a whole new world. Some people felt that television would be the downfall of the country since people would be less active. In fact, it did play a pivotal role in the increase of obesity, partly for the food advertisements displayed, but mostly for the sedentary hours which occurred as a result; however, TV was the last [...]
