STRONG FOUNDATION LEADING TO UNLIMITED POTENTIAL

2018-04-24T18:49:22+00:00April 1st, 2018|Latest News|

I grew up working in my father’s seafood restaurants in Virginia Beach, VA. After college, I opened and operated a few small restaurants of my own. A few years later, my partners and I opened our first Taco Bell location in Harrisonburg, VA. Today, we own and operate 133 franchises across five states. Furthermore, BurgerBusters currently has an acquisition transaction pending that would add an additional 30 franchises to our already robust  system. BurgerBusters has become a first-class organization, on par with the finest in the country. It gives […]

All of us have been trained on speed and the T.R.E.D. system to bottleneck management. In fact over the years BurgerBusters Inc. has become one of the best as it pertains to speed in this region; however, the organization has been impacted by new products, the launch of fries, and significant sales growth. So far in 2018, the drive thru times have increased by over 14 seconds with over 30% of the stores over 5 minutes total time.   Guest comments from our drive thru surveys tells us guests become […]

2018-11-28T18:40:34+00:00April 1st, 2018|Latest News|

There are many new developments in our Accounting / Finance department since our last newsletter. As of the first of the year, we have begun processing payroll in house for our Steak ’n Shake team, no longer outsourcing to a third-party provider. We are currently in the process of testing the payroll processing for BurgerBusters and hope to have this completely rolled out in the second quarter. With this will come new benefits such as a self-service site that will allow you to update your address, tax withholdings,    direct […]

Threatening behaviors such as physical actions short of actual contact (moving closer aggressively), oral or written threats as well as implicit threats such as “you’ll be sorry,” “this isn’t over,” and “I better leave before I kill someone” – these are examples of implicit threats and are not allowed at work. DEVELOPMENT

2018-11-28T16:50:22+00:00April 1st, 2018|Latest News|

It has been a very exciting period of growth and development since our last newsletter. In the past six months, the Williamsburg based Development group has added a new Construction Manager for Remodels and Special Projects to our team.  Joe Kaut joins Nick, Albert, and myself to keep the unprecedented growth of BurgerBusters growing faster than any other franchise at Taco Bell. Joe started in the commercial construction field in 1990 as an electrician’s apprentice in Philadelphia and by 2012 had worked his way up to building a variety […]

MARKETING

2018-04-27T17:02:59+00:00April 1st, 2018|Latest News|

First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their great work and commitment to excellence during 2017. System sales continued to grow and I would like to think that a large portion of that success was driven by our restaurants’ effective and efficient implementation of our marketing programs. I believe that these successes can continue and that the 2018 Marketing Calendar provides the platform for just that.

Nacho Fries provided a strong start to the year and I am excited to share with you […]

STEAK ‘N SHAKE

2018-04-27T16:19:09+00:00April 1st, 2018|Latest News|

Recently two of our Steak ‘n Shake locations were converted from full service sit down locations to counter serve with a scaled down menu comprised of the most popular burger and shake offerings. The most notable change on the exterior is the large red accent wall which has been painted black. Minor interior renovations occurred to accommodate the soda station and condiment area in the dining room.  Food is ordered at the    register, the guest is given a table marker, and an employee will bring out the order to […]
