It has been a very exciting period of growth and development since our last newsletter. First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their great work and commitment to excellence during 2017. System sales continued to grow and I would like to think that a large portion of that success was driven by our restaurants’ effective and efficient implementation of our marketing programs. As we begin a New Year, I would like to give a quick summary of our staffing and turnover performance for 2017. Let’s start with the good news, BurgerBusters Inc. continued the promoting from within tradition by promoting a record 264   Managers. I would like to recognize and congratulate the following internally promoted Above Store Leaders:

• District Manager – Deborah Watts
• District Manager – Michelle Spencer
• District Manager – Lucinda Sistrunk
• District Manager – Jessica Sly (Promoted in P2, 2018)

Now that all our locations have received the Secure Pay credit card machines we are much more secure against outside sources gaining access to our customers credit information.  We also can continue to accept credit cards even if the master register one is down for any reason.  In addition, our personnel (at least at the counter) no longer have any contact with the customer’s credit card.

Recently two of our Steak ‘n Shake locations were converted from full service sit down locations to counter serve with a scaled down menu comprised of the most popular burger and shake offerings. The most notable change on the exterior is the large red accent wall which has been painted black. Minor interior renovations occurred to accommodate the soda station and condiment area in the dining room.  Food is ordered at the    register, the guest is given a table marker, and an employee will bring out the order to […]
